Howzit Katalina! Good to hear that your son came out of all that okay. My prayers to him for a good recovery and my well wishes to you for having to go through all that! I have only one son, actually only one child myself and heaven forbid if I get a phone call such as yours. Already he's planning to join the Air Force in July and I'm crossing my fingers that he'll be able to visit me before he leaves.

Regarding your trip to Venice, I don't know what route you took but Lecco is way far from Venice. Hope you both had a great time though...wheah da pictchahs? I've only been to Venice twice and never been on those gondolas yet. I blame my husband. He refuses to do things that only tourists do, so I guess that ends my dream of doing that Madonna-like dance in 'Like a Virgin'. Don't know if you've seen that old video but hehe...I'm just kidding. The main thing for me is the food. And the wine. Period.

As I was typing your web address, somehow I got another site. You got TWO????

Alrighty then, you take care and hellos to your husband. I think we'll be visiting Germany (Black Forest) soon. Is that anywhere near you folks??

Hey Rowena!
Again, Mahalo nui loa for your prayers regarding my son.

I think we came down thru Austria and then thru Vincenza route... I looked up your city...are you near a lake...it looks pretty up there (er..down there)!

When are you going to the Black Forest? Which town/city? We are about two hours a way..not really that far when you think about it. Will you be there long? Driving? If it is over a weekend...maybe we could "hook" up for dinner.. lunch.. coffee...bier... anyway.. let me know.. Or...you are more than welcome to stop at our house and sleep ovah!!! We could show you Stuttgart, the castles, etc.
Anywayz..don't want to impose on your trip...BUT...da' doah alwayz stay open fo' you folks!!!

Oh..You have a son old enough to be joing the AF?!? If that was you in one of your Blog pictures...you look way too young to have a young man for a son!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!

Ha! Here's the deal...we should meet up in Venice some time (maybe in the early fall (after high tourist season)...YOU and I will go on the Gondola ride and our husbands can stand on the bridge or canal side and take our pictures as we are being serenaded or in your case..."singing 'Like a Virgin'" LOL!!!!! That would be too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, Katalina, this is Muley of Muley's World. I just checked out your web site and saw the story about your son. Thank God he is getting better, and what a miracle! I'll pray a prayer for his quick recovery.

Your site is beautiful, and the photos are gorgeous and so well presented. I wish I could be a world traveler like you, but except for trips to Canada and Mexico I've never been out of the United States. I have been to Hawaii twice, however, and I hope to return there with my wife on our 20th anniversary. It's breathtaking and so peaceful.

Thank you so much for your kind comments about my new web site. I really don't know what I'm doing yet, but when you're in the "throw-it-at-the-wall-and-see-if-it-sticks" stage that I am, encouraging comments are so welcome. I hope we keep checking out each other's sites for a long time.

Goodbye, and take care.

Muley

#1...I don't know when you commented on my first comment there but I gotta get into the habit of checking in...even on old posts because usually I never think that perhaps the blogowner might comment on my comment and so on, and so on....auwe! Too much confusing!

We are 'tentatively' thinking about visiting the Black Forest in August. This I say because we're heading to France in July. The only reason we are considering Nera Foresta in Agosto is 'cause in Italy, a lot of businesses shut down for atleast 2 weeks and gazillions of italians go on holiday. My husband hates this and wishes he could take holidays when he wants but as dah way it goes. We are thinking to visit for ONE WEEK, so yeahhhhhhhh sistah! I/we would love to meet up! You've been to the Black Forest yet? My husband and I like to go hiking (easy kine 'cause I have one bad knee), and since we'll be bringing the small doggie, it should be fun!

Oh and one more thing...yes I live near the lakes. Como is a hop/skip away and being near the water 'sort of' reminds me of home. Well...atleast up there in Kokee with the mountain reservoirs.

Haha! I look young because I eat pinakbet. And as for the suggestion about Venice...sounds do-able!
