London

Porter and I went to London in November 2006 to celebrate our 37th anniversary. (This was also the same weekend as Veteran's Day). The weather was beautiful...no rain or fog! We visited the memorial to the veterans at Westminster Abbey and we observed Queen Elizabeth dedicate the new memorial to the New Zealand soldiers! (...never thought we'd see the Queen!...we even saw the Prime Minister and Prince Charles!) Of course, that was not our objective of the trip--those "sightings" just served as "icing on the cake" for our first visit to the UK. Of course, we could not do it all...see it all, etc., so we have vowed for a return trip--perhaps next New Year's??? (We saw their fireworks display on television and it appears to be a sight to behold!...hmmm...better start $aving now!!!)

Always enjoy your pictures and comments Katherine. Is this a new blog site that you have. I have the old one in my bookmarks. Just wondering. Will you be home soon? Just waiting until we can have lunch together. Love You Lots, Jewel
