Thanks for posting about this as it's where we want to visit in August! We haven't made any concrete plans yet (husband gotta confirm dates). We'll see...but if we go over there I want to meet up with you folks!!
Question: By any chance you seen poi there? I know, I know, silly question but since you get Walmarts there...Last night I made roast pork, lomi salmon (salted the salmon myself!), potato salad, and rice. If I had thought to buy the bean thread noodles could have made chicken long rice but I had foget.
Anyways, just asking. Man I miss my poi!!! Have a great weekend. :-D

Howze it...Was ist los...Wegetes ihnen!!!
Nope..haven't seen any poi, BUT...I have met some of our Polynesian brothers/sisters from Samoa...I will check with them (they [da Samoans] are hosting a Polynesian festival here in the Stuttgart area the July 4th weekend). My hubby and I will attend only on July 1st in the evening and then we are off for Trier (a Roman city...supposedly the oldest city in Germany....) that weekend (my hubby's birthday is July 3rd and I usually try to take him someplace [away from the house] special... HA! since we are such "war mongers" and military history enthusiasts, I thought that would be a good place to go...we will probably take a drive over the French/German border just so we can say we've been to France! HA! What tourists we are!! (...and proud of it, I might say!!! LOL!)
We definitely will meet up with you folks when you go to the Black Forest! We only visited the Triberg area...I am sure there is much, much more to Schwarzwald (I have read about the wine tasting there...maybe we can get some of that in while there... Heh..heh...I will bring you some "spam" while you are here! (just thought of something...my new Samoan friend (from Western Samoa) has asked if we get "corned beef"...they eat a lot of that in Samoa! HA!...spam...corned beef...all same-u same-u!!!
Anyway, just let us know when you folks are there...just to "throw" this out on the table...If you have the time, you could stay at our place and fly out of Stuttgart International (we are only about 8-10 min from the airport)...Again, I know how it is when you are on holiday...lots to do and lots to see...but our "hale" is your "hale" if you like!!!
Hey...just thought...did your son go into the service yet?
